Billing

Organization admins can use the portal to manage their Privatemode plan, payment methods, billing details, and invoices. Organization members don't see this page.

Plans and tiers

Privatemode supports different plans, including free, standard, and enterprise options. Use the billing page to:

  • view your active plan
  • upgrade or manage your plan
  • understand how your current tier affects usage and limits

Before you can enable pay-as-you-go, add a default payment method and complete all required billing information, including your name, email address, and full billing address. Your billing address is required to calculate applicable taxes.

Payment methods

You can add and manage payment methods in the portal. Keep at least one valid default payment method on file for paid usage.

Billing information

Use the portal to manage your name, email address, billing address, and optional business tax information. Keep these details up to date so invoices and tax calculations remain accurate. Privatemode sends finalized invoices to the email address in your billing information.

Spending limits and invoice periods

Monthly spending limits and regular pay-as-you-go invoice periods follow calendar months. Spending limits reset and a new invoice period starts at the calendar month boundary. When you first enable pay-as-you-go during a month, the initial invoice period runs from that day to the start of the next month. Stripe creates the invoice after the period ends.

Use the month filter on the usage page to monitor the corresponding spending-limit and invoice period. Usage shown for the current month can still change while usage reports are processed. Use finalized invoices as the billing record.

Invoices

The billing page lists invoices for your organization. Use it to:

  • review invoice status
  • download invoice PDF files
  • reconcile usage with billing records

New invoices can briefly appear as drafts while Stripe prepares and finalizes them. The invoice PDF becomes available after finalization.
